2008 MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK AWARDS NOMINATIONS ARE UP AND RUNNING!

The nominations for the 2008 MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards are in, and it is with great pleasure that FILMINK Magazine and Tsuki can now announce the short list of good sorts, action-charged chases and the greatest hair from 2007. Voting is now open, so let your voice be heard!

Now in its 5th year, the 2008 MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards is the only red carpet affair in Australia to celebrate both International and Australian theatrical releases, toasting the best and worst of film and entertainment in the year that was. The Awards are 'people's choice' which means that the general public interact by voting (20,000+ votes in 2006/7) for the hand picked categories such as Best Sort, Best Nude Scene, and Best Australian Film. The MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards bring a perfect balance of movie-love and irreverence to the film industry and general public who love the glamour without the air kisses.

On March 12th 2008 the poll results will be announced in a glittering red carpet ceremony, also televised nationally on MOVIE EXTRA. The celebrations will continue into the evening as The Argyle at the Rocks plays host to all our glamorous guests at the swish After Party.

The MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards is the stars night of nights. In previous years glamour personified have walked the red carpet including Russell Crowe, Rose Byrne, Emily Barclay (Suburban Mayhem), John Jarrett (Wolf Creek, Rogue), Merrick and Rosso, Pia Miranda (Looking for Alibrandi), Brendan Cowell (Love My Way, Noise), Isabel Lucas (Day Breakers, The Pacific), Khan Chittenden (West, Clubland), Veronica Sywak (The Jammed), Josh Lawson (Chandon Pictures) and comedian Peter Helliar.
